Biography
Anette
Vedvik got response beyond expected on her first recording in 2002.
The album "My deliverance", which became a reality because a producer
heard her sing and offered her a free recording, was in spring 2002
sent out to different record companies. Already the day after it was
received at one of the big companies in USA, the artist got an email
from one of the most successful producers in the world; Charlie Peacock,
with an invitation to Nashville for a visit and a meeting with the
president of the company. For one week she had the privelige of visiting
the producer and his family in Nashville, and to talk to the employees
and leaders in Forefront Records.
Only a few weeks after the visit, she got a new invitation to Nashville to talk to another record company. This time it was Sparrow Records who showed their interest in her music. But then she had already moved to Los Angeles to attend the Recording Artist Program at Musician's Institute.
Anette lived in California for 7 months and extended her musical talent further. A good confirm on her musical improvement and work in this program was the "Best Project 2003" award she received at the graduation ceremony. Under a performance she had at the school during the year, an A&R from Sony Music, Columbia, became aware of her, and became very interested in putting her on one of America's most popular shows.
Anette Vedvik came home from USA in March 2003 and has since then worked with her music, by writing new songs, having concerts all over Norway, and by recording a single and also a musicvideo for it. In addition to this, she toured the Southern States of America spring 2004. During those 10 weeks she performed at about 20 different venues across the United States.
The music that Anette writes, regularly gets attention for its distinctive characteristics and quality, but not least has the music been received well because of her voice which accompanies it. Often people categories her music as a mix between pop, jazz and funk. Through her music, Anette wants to give people inspiration to seek the fundamental values and to see the positive aspects of life.

Anette released the album "This is life" in February 2006. On this record, Anette sings about different important aspects of every day life that all people can relate to. The song "In the night" were B-listed on Norway's biggest radio station NRK P1 for 14 weeks during spring/summer 2006.
The year 2006 became a year with lots of concerts for Anette. First a promotional tour in California, Nevada and Arizona, then a tour on Norway's west coast and a trip to the very north of Norway -Tromsø- to a festival. She also played on the festival Skjærgaards M&M at Risøya, and in September she opened up for Elvira Nikolaisen on the well known music festival in Hamar.
Now living in Oslo, several concerts and performances have been held in the capital of Norway. Anette is still active writing new songs and performing at different venues.
